What order should I take classes in?

This is dependent upon the knowledge you want to gain first:

  • Personal or Home Defense: If you are looking for one class packed with knowledge in multiple areas, take the Complete Course. It combines the Basic Handgun and Home Defense classes and also includes a lot of information from the Legal Use of Force Class. If you just want to get your feet wet, then start with either the Home Defense or Basic Firearm class.

  • AVERT (Active Violence Emergency Response Training): A course everyone should take ASAP. Active shootings continue to be on the rise with a total of 655 in the U.S. last year. This 4-hr class is essential.

  • Emergency First Aid: Save a Life - Control the Bleed is a quick 2-hour class to learn the fundamentals of controlling life-threatening bleeding. If you desire to have a more expansive amount of emergency first aid knowledge in your toolkit (really great for parents as well as for those taking care of their parents), then the Emergency First Aid Fundamentals class is the one for you. It covers a wide variety of medical emergencies.

What are the SIRT guns Stellr Defense trains with?

SIRT (Shot Indicating Resetting Trigger) guns are designed to feel exactly like a real firearm yet give students the benefit of higher-level training by operating with a laser instead of live-fire ammo. This provides us with immediate feedback when assessing your shooting skills in the classroom. It's also a much better training tool when compared to dry firing with a real firearm and is considerably safer. Lastly, SIRT guns provide students many more options to develop thorough tactical skills and train in defensive shooting scenarios. They are the perfect compliment to your range firearm practice.

There are 5 options of SIRT Pro guns to choose from when training with Stellr Defense, including those modeled after the Glock 19, Glock 17/22, Smith & Wesson M&P, a Pocket Pistol and a Pistol Caliber Carbine rifle. In this class, students get to try each handgun model and select which one they want to train with during class.
