Class Description

This entry-level course teaches firearm safety; the differences in types of firearms and ammunition; proper grip, sight alignment, trigger control and stance; gun selection; loading and unloading; handling malfunctions; marksmanship; defensive shooting fundamentals; and options for other self-defense tools. This classroom-only course is taught with SIRT (shot indicating resetting trigger) guns, which are designed to feel just like a real firearm but give students the benefits of high-level training by operating with a laser instead of live-fire ammo. This provides instant feedback when assessing shooting skills in the classroom and allows for both tactical and defensive training scenarios. There are 5 options of SIRT Pro guns to choose from when training with Stellr Defense, including those modeled after the Glock 19, Glock 17/22, Smith & Wesson M&P, a Pocket Pistol and a Pistol Caliber Carbine rifle. Students get to try each handgun model and select which one they want to train with during class. The course provides the foundation needed for new shooters and is also a great place to start for existing or self-taught shooters who want to improve their handgun knowledge and correct improper form. Ages 21 and over.
