Stellr Defense is a well-respected woman-owned defense firm specializing in corporate personal safety & defense education, traumatic first aid, and active shooter prevention & response.
We prioritize prevention, equipping organizations and individuals with expert training in defensive preparedness. Through a supportive, intimidation-free environment, we teach clients how to proactively recognize and mitigate threats—while also developing the critical skillsets needed to respond effectively when necessary.
ABOUT FOUNDER
The Founder and CEO of Stellr Defense, Joanna Clodfelter, is an industry-known specialist in violence prevention, threat neutralization, traumatic first aid, and the legal aftermath of personal defense. She prepares companies and audiences for dangerous encounters through effective deterrence and defensive strategies.
Drawing from Joanna's personal survival experience, nearly a decade of intensive training and certifications, and eight years of extensive leadership roles at a Fortune 100 company, she is renowned for developing powerful training sessions, crafting in-depth emergency operations plans, and delivering speaking engagements that are specifically tailored to each audience's distinctive requirements.

Prior to becoming a certified instructor, she underwent intensive private training from multiple defense contractors and special forces operators, which included four levels of tactical pistol, concealed carry, rifle, CQB (close quarters battle), room clearing, defensive shooting fundamentals, and shooting while wounded.
Later, Joanna​ went on to work for a national firearms training organization where she educated audiences around the country about use of force laws and the legal aftermath of self-defense acts. She also became a certified firearm instructor and began passionately teaching individuals as well as organizations how to protect themselves and those they are responsible for.

Over time, Joanna identified significant gaps in the corporate and personal defense sectors, which inspired her to establish a unique firm dedicated to addressing these education and security deficiencies.

Joanna is certified by the United States Concealed Carry Association, Health and Safety Institute, National Rifle Association, and Maryland State Police. She is accredited to teach Countering the Mass Shooter Threat for Schools, Businesses, and Churches; Active Violence Emergency Response Training; Save a Life Control the Bleed; Emergency First Aid Fundamentals; Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals; Marksmanship Simplified; NRA Pistol; Maryland HQL and Wear & Carry; and Real Estate Agent Safety.

As a devoted philanthropist, she has committed Stellr Defense to supporting society's most vulnerable by donating a portion of all company proceeds to charity.
